Role: Hotel Property Accountant - Midwest Region

Maverick Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a motivated and detail-driven Property Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team and support the financial performance of our growing hotel portfolio.

This is an opportunity to build your hospitality finance career while partnering with property and corporate leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage daily accounting for an assigned group of hotels, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end close, financial statements, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and strong financial controls.
  • Support budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.
  • Partner with hotel leadership to provide financial guidance and resolve accounting issues.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and brand reporting requirements.
  • Support audits and collaborate with Corporate Finance on process improvements and reporting.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 2–4 years of accounting experience; hotel or hospitality accounting preferred.
  • M3 experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and accounting principles.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
  • A proactive problem solver who takes ownership and follows through.
  • Strong communicator who enjoys partnering with property and corporate teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
