SUMMARY:
The Spa Attendant ensures the seamless operation of the spa, upholding the highest standards of luxury, service excellence, and guest satisfaction. This role oversees daily spa operations, supervises staff, and maintains the tranquil and pristine environment expected of a world-class wellness retreat. By delivering impeccable service, the Steward will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa's service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Assist in overseeing daily spa operations, ensuring flawless guest experiences from arrival to departure.
  • Supervise spa attendants, therapists, and reception staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure all treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and facilities meet luxury standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of linens, amenities, and retail products, placing orders as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for VIP guests, addressing special requests and resolving concerns with discretion.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure service consistency and adherence to brand standards.
  • Train staff on personalized guest interactions, anticipating needs and enhancing overall satisfaction.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff shifts, ensuring optimal coverage while maintaining efficiency.
  • Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for spa attendants and support staff.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that aligns with the hotel's luxury ethos.
  • Assist in performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Assist with payroll, attendance tracking, and staff performance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (OSHA, local guidelines).
  • Maintain accurate records of guest preferences, incidents, and operational reports.
  • Support the Spa Director in budgeting, cost control, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with luxury brand standards and hotel policies.
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.
  • Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • (3+) years of previous experience in a luxury spa or hotel preferred, with at least 1 year in supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a serene atmosphere.
  • Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in Spa management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (Up to 25lbs).
