Job description

As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.

What you will be doing 

  • Deliver exceptional in-room dining service by accurately presenting, delivering, and setting up food and beverage orders in guest rooms while maintaining The Pfister's luxury hospitality standards.

  • Ensure all orders are prepared, transported, and presented with attention to detail, including verifying accuracy, quality, and proper presentation before delivery.

  • Provide professional and personalized guest service by responding promptly to requests, answering menu questions, and anticipating guest needs to enhance the overall dining experience.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, hallways, trays, carts, and equipment, while adhering to food safety, sanitation, and hotel policies.

  • Process guest checks and payments accurately, communicate effectively with kitchen and hotel teams, and assist with room service operations to ensure efficient and seamless service throughout each shift.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous restaurant, hotel, room service, or hospitality experience preferred.

  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service with a professional, friendly, and polished demeanor in a luxury hotel environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and hotel departments.

  • Ability to lift and carry food trays, carts, and supplies up to 30-50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.
