Job description

Mossop's Social House at Hotel Victoria is currently recruiting for a part-time Server! A Server will be responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest experience. A Server will also be required to have extensive knowledge of our exciting menu offerings!

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Experience Manager, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner;
  • Serve Alcoholic/non-Alcoholic beverages in conjunction with licensing/liquor regulations for residents and non-residents;
  • Ensure knowledge of the menu and all products;
  • Ensure that floor stations are stocked and tidy at all times;
  • Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues;
  • Serve food and beverages in proper sequence, including tableside wine service where applicable.
  • Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner;
  • Adhere to hotel grooming standards, including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene;
  • Process payments, issue receipts, return change, and post charges to guest accounts
  • Support other hotel and restaurant areas as needed, including but not limited to phone handling and additional service tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Weekend on-call availability is required to support team operations
  • Is Smart-Serve certified
  • Food Safe certification and/or food hygiene regulations is an asset

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience in Food and Beverage department and/or industry;
  • Previous experience in cash handling;
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations.
