Job description

Family-owned and operated award winning Brewpub looking for a reliable, experienced General Manager with drive and integrity to join our team and grow with us as we expand our vision moving forward! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in hospitality and customer service, and want to be part of a positive, fun, hardworking crew - we'd love to meet you.

The General Manager is the operational and cultural leader of the business. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys being on the floor with the team, and can balance high-level operational thinking with day-to-day execution.

You will lead by example, inspire accountability, create systems that improve operations, and ensure every guest experience reflects the warmth, energy, and excellence our brand is known for.

This role is ideal for someone who can simultaneously:

  • Direct a busy floor during high-volume service
  • Build, update, and implement systems and SOPs
  • Develop and coach staff
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization
  • Think strategically about staffing, flow, guest experience, and long-term growth

What You'll Do

Leadership & Hospitality

  • Lead service from the floor
  • Create a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality and accountability
  • Set the standard for guest interaction, professionalism, urgency, and teamwork
  • Build relationships with regular guests and community members
  • Ensure every guest feels welcomed, taken care of, and excited to return

Team Management

  • Hire, train, coach, and develop FOH staff and Leads
  • Hold all employees accountable to performance and behavioral standards - no favoritism
  • Continuously train and reinforce hospitality expectations and operational systems
  • Identify staffing needs and strategically deploy team members throughout service
  • Keep staff productive, focused, and working with purpose during all shifts

Operations & Systems

  • Build, update, and implement SOPs and operational systems
  • Improve efficiency while maintaining a high level of hospitality
  • Oversee scheduling and labor management
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication between FOH and BOH
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and facility upkeep
  • Monitor service flow, make real-time operational decisions, and jump in wherever needed

Events & Community Engagement

  • Help execute large-scale events, festivals, and holiday celebrations
  • Coordinate staffing and operations for high-volume event days
  • Support the community-focused culture of the business
  • Help create memorable experiences that bring people together

What We're Looking For

  • Strong leadership presence with a hands-on management style
  • Proven experience managing high-volume restaurant, brewery, hospitality, or event-driven operations
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to stay calm, decisive, and organized in fast-paced environments
  • Experience developing SOPs, systems, and operational processes
  • Strong communication and team-building skills
  • Ability to coach employees while maintaining accountability
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities
  • High standards for cleanliness, organization, and execution
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Craft beer knowledge or brewery experience is a plus, but not required

What Success Looks Like

  • Guests consistently receive warm, efficient, memorable hospitality
  • Staff are engaged, busy, accountable, and well-trained
  • Service runs smoothly even during large events and peak volume
  • The restaurant stays clean, organized, and operationally sharp
  • Systems and SOPs are consistently adhered to and improving
  • The business maintains its reputation as a community gathering place people love coming back to
