Job description

Overview

This position at CFC is located at the historic Grant Street Inn. The Overnight Hospitality Clerk at Grant Street Inn is the first point of contact responsible for greeting guests, providing information, communications, scheduling, and overnight monitoring of the property.

Responsibilities

Overnight part time schedule: 20 hours

Friday/Saturday: 11:00 pm - 9:00 am

  • Greet guests and patrons as they arrive
  • Check in customers, verify guests' payment method and provide guests with directions to their room
  • Take reservations, keep accurate account of schedule
  • Communicate w/housekeeping on check in/outs
  • Receive and relay incoming, outgoing and internal phone calls
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Manage accurate accounting of all rooms
  • Answer queries regarding the Inn's services and amenities and local happenings
  • Maintain the front desk with a professional appearance
  • Must be comfortable working independently in an overnight setting

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Previous customer service experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software & Adobe PDF

Hospitality experience preferred

Knowledge of local area preferred

Physical requirements:

Works under general office environmental conditions

Sitting for extended periods of time, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.

Occasionally required to stand, climb stairs, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
