Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a forward-thinking, business-savvy Veterinary Hospital Administrator to lead our established 6-doctor practice through an exciting period of growth and transformation.
This is more than a day-to-day management role. We're looking for an experienced leader who can see the bigger picture-someone who understands the financial health of a business, develops strong leaders, improves operational efficiency, and turns long-term goals into actionable strategies.
Our hospital is entering an exciting next chapter. With a brand-new boarding facility recently completed and a facility renovation planned for 2027, our new Hospital Administrator will have the opportunity to help shape the future of an already well-established and successful practice.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
  • Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
  • Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
  • Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Schedule, benefits and compensation**:
This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.
  • Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 annual base salary
  • Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance
  • Hiring bonus package: $2000 based on credentials
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 based on credentials

Your Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required
  • Veterinary hospital management experience required
  • Bachelors degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and/or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day hospital operations
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable adapting to new technology and business systems
  • Bonus if you've had experience managing through or planning a facility renovation
