Job Summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Dishwasher to support daily kitchen operations and maintain cleanliness throughout all kitchen areas of the hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for washing and properly storing cooking utensils, equipment, flatware, and glassware, while ensuring receiving, storage, and dish areas remain clean, sanitary, and organized. This position requires adherence to all food service regulations established by the Maricopa County Department of Health, while upholding the ethics and professional standards of College Medical Center. The ideal candidate will align with the mission, vision, and values of CMC and demonstrate the ability to interact with, relate to, and support a diverse workforce.


Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of food service experience (preferably healthcare experience) in a high volume food service environment

  • Proficient in use and maintaining of kitchen and sanitation equipment.

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Ability to obtain (or already have) a Food Handlers Permit for AZ.

  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays. Day or Night shift as required

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (12 hour shifts), lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in high volume environments

Job-Specific Duties:

  • Ensure that kitchen area is kept clean and tidy at all times to prevent health or safety hazards.

  • Maintain a safe working environment including following health department standards, regulatory procedures, all kitchen logs, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is used and maintained to proper department standards.

  • Maintain all kitchen and storage areas following local regulatory standards, department and company leadership standards, and required sanitation and safety standards.

  • Collects trash from kitchen areas: empties garbage cans and takes out to dumpster area, breaks down and disposes of boxes, and remove debris.

  • Washes and cleans receiving, trash, and all kitchen related areas.

  • Performs all deep cleaning assignments given by dietary leadership.

  • Use all chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Manages and cleans mop room and keeps in safe working order.

  • Complete all assigned tasks while on duty adhering to safety standards and policies of CMC.

  • Complete Initial educational training modules and any subsequent modules assigned by CMC on time, and complete additional training when assigned within the required timeframe.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend any and all staff meetings, or additional educational modules assigned by leadership.

Special Skills (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Spanish speaking (Preferred)
