We're currently hiring for a Logistics Data Entry Specialist on behalf of a client in Jacksonville, FL!
Job Description
This role is responsible for accurately entering, validating, and submitting cargo and shipping information into internal systems and government portals. The position focuses on working with large spreadsheets, reconciling data in Excel, and supporting compliance processes by ensuring information is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.
Responsibilities
  • Enter, review, and reconcile vessel and cargo data using Excel spreadsheets and internal systems.
  • Use Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and basic formulas, to compare manifests and reports and verify data accuracy.
  • Submit cargo manifests and shipment data to government systems, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other relevant agencies.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Update shipment records and resubmit corrected information as needed to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Monitor daily shipment statuses and update port locations on releases or holds in the appropriate systems.
  • Prepare and submit standard electronic documents related to cargo movement and export filings.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all shipments and related transactions.
  • Send routine notifications and updates regarding shipment arrivals, releases, and status changes.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure all required data is entered and validated before cargo release.
  • Communicate with internal departments to obtain missing, incomplete, or incorrect information and resolve issues promptly.
  • Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals (KPIs) while maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documentation.
  • Utilize Outlook and other Microsoft Office tools to manage communications and documentation efficiently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
