JOB SUMMARY

Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care's purpose is simple, to provide high quality clinical home care to medically fragile children so they can grow and flourish to their full potential. The Hospital Liaison must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Home Medical and uphold its standard for excellence. Responsible for competent, efficient, and friendly delivery service to customers in the hospital or in the patient's home. The liaison works closely with hospital Case Management to educate patients and families on prescribed medical equipment prior to discharge. Responsible for safeguarding company assets while in their care.


MINIMUM HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma
  • Current Health Care Provider CPR BLS certification
  • Current Tuberculin Skin test
  • Valid driver's license in good standing

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Case Management on a daily basis to build strong work relationships with new and existing referral sources.
  • Work to become an extension of their team by providing timely deliveries and thorough patient education to support business development activities.
  • Attend meetings with healthcare professionals to determine needs and educate on Thrive SPC services and stimulate admissions.
  • Must be familiar with the referral process to be able to accurately answer direct questions from hospital staff.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual goals.
  • Communicate with President, HME, Area Manager, and Operations Manager, for direction, problem solving, territory challenges or concerns, and implementation of selling strategies.
  • Assist collecting documentation/orders from hospital as needed.
  • Responsible for compliance with appropriate dress code and wearing company issued uniforms.
  • Responsible for stocking vehicles with appropriate equipment and leaving the warehouse no later than one hour after shift starts.
  • Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and ensuring that it is accurate, organized and submitted to the work order specialist upon completion of shift.
  • Responsible for reporting (written or verbal) all customers inquiries and/or complaints that may arise.
  • Responsible for the safe operation and routine care of company vehicles.
  • Responsible for contacting patients with times of stop and continuing contact with patient during the day if times are adjusted.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to all regulatory and safety procedures that apply to the delivery of oxygen.
  • With the assistance of the Logistics Manager/Operations Manager, arrange for efficient and cost-effective routes and deliveries.
  • Pick up equipment in a timely manner.
  • Be knowledgeable of supplies, prices and reimbursement issues.
  • Responsible for seeking tasks and informing Logistics/Operations Manager of idle time between deliveries.
  • Assist with cleaning and repair of all equipment while in store and as time permits. Maintain records for all rental equipment.
  • Assist with inventory control.
  • Responsible for attendance at in-store meetings.
  • Responsible for handling money as required on the route. Ensure that customers receive written receipts for any money collected on route.
  • Responsible for being on-call as per company policy.
  • Responsible for the timely response to emergency calls when on-call.
  • Other duties as assigned.
