Construction Estimating Coordinator Horizon Lighting, Inc.

Horizon Lighting, Inc. is a leading lighting and electrical service and construction company specializing in electrical infrastructure and lighting projects. We take pride in delivering exceptional service, responsive communication, and high-quality electrical solutions to our clients.

We are currently seeking a Construction Estimating Coordinator to join our team and support the estimating and construction operations process for ongoing and newly awarded projects. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in keeping project-related tasks moving forward from bid support through project setup and submittal follow-up.

Position overview

The Construction Estimating Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support for estimating, project setup, submittals, change orders, and client communication. This position plays an important role in helping the team stay organized, meet deadlines, and maintain momentum on active opportunities and awarded work.

The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience, strong follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Experience in electrical construction or lighting is preferred.

Key responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, and vendors.

  • Maintain and organize project documentation.

  • Support the team with procurement and purchase order creation.

  • Ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.

  • Create and process change orders.

  • Complete steps to set up new accounts.

  • Prepare submittals for new projects.

  • Follow up regularly on submittals and change order approvals or updates.

  • Track assigned work to ensure tasks move forward and are completed.

  • Communicate with clients and respond to emails in a timely manner.

  • Follow up with the internal team regarding RFP deadlines and bid dates.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in the construction industry required.

  • Electrical construction or lighting industry experience preferred.

  • Experience with submittals, change orders, project coordination, or estimating support preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on open items.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a professional, positive attitude.
