Work Environment

This full-time position operates onsite at our modern Surgical Center in Rochester, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work setting. Completing a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, with evening hours concluding at 5:00 PM, our facility is equipped with advanced medical technology and resources to facilitate effective patient care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate health conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans with supervising physicians tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring responsiveness and adaptability.
  • Perform necessary diagnostic tests, interpret results, and integrate findings into treatment protocols.
  • Administer various procedures such as trigger point injections and joint injections, enhancing patient relief and comfort.
  • Prescribe medications and formulate pain management recommendations, ensuring adherence to current healthcare regulations.
  • Monitor patient progress meticulously and make real-time modifications to treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, enabling them to confidently engage in their treatment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to track progress, adhere to legal standards, and facilitate effective communication.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings focused on enhancing patient care strategies and discussing complex cases with other medical professionals.
  • Encourage and foster a healthy lifestyle among patients by promoting disease prevention and health literacy.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including ongoing education and research, to enhance clinical expertise.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in our clinic will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions, post-surgical pain management needs, and acute pain situations. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
  • Current certification as a PA-C from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Possession of a valid DEA and NPI number.
  • Proven clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a healthcare setting, such as a clinic, hospital, or emergency room.
  • Strong knowledge of patient care regulations and healthcare standards.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and positive patient interactions.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to USD 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We also offer a generous sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to qualified candidates.
