Your work environment will be onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Newburgh, New York, where you will collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and specialists. This full-time role requires a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, ensuring you have evenings free for personal commitments. • Conduct thorough patient assessments, developing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with our physicians.
• Perform comprehensive physical exams and order necessary diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
• Administer injections, including trigger point and joint injections, as part of our specialized pain management protocols.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and provide expert recommendations for pain management strategies.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on outcomes and feedback.
• Educate patients and families on pain management techniques, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records using our electronic health records system.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient care and collaborate on complex cases.
• Oversee the health of patients and proactively promote good health practices in line with current medical guidelines.
• Engage in advancing your professional knowledge through continued education and participation in relevant research.

The patient population at Horizon Health PA Clinic comprises individuals experiencing various pain conditions stemming from chronic illnesses, injuries, or post-surgical recovery. You will help to empower our patients by educating them about their conditions and supporting them through shared decision-making in their treatment plans.

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).
• Possession of a current DEA and NPI number to prescribe medications.
• A strong foundation in patient care regulations and a commitment to ethical practice standards.

• Prior experience working as a Physician Assistant in clinical settings, such as hospitals or emergency departments.
• Experience specifically within pain management or related specialties is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and their families.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes health insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and a generous sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to support your transition into our organization.
