Customer Service - Inside Sales

Overview:
The Customer Service/Inside Sales is responsible for contacting existing customers in predetermined universe to inform them about a product or service, answering questions about products or the company and asking questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Contact existing customers to inform them about a product or service
  • Fully understand the Southern Glazer's Beverage Company portfolio
  • Asks questions to understand customer needs and close sales
  • Build long term trust and relationships
  • Enter and update customer information in the database
  • Contact customers daily and process orders in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Creates and updates activity reports with record of all calls and sales
  • Provide back-up support for sales teams during vacations, etc. for off premise accounts
  • Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research concern and provide solutions, cross sell and up sell
  • Assist sales reps with will-calls as needed

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2-5 years' previous hospitality experience with direct knowledge of wine, spirits and beer required. The ideal candidate will possess patience, persistence and persuasiveness and excellent typing skills. Intermediate/Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel. Must be detail-oriented, analytical and deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills (oral, written) including the ability to summarize key findings and interact with individuals at all levels.
Compensation:
Southern Glazer's offers a starting hourly pay of $22.00 - $25.00/hour plus the opportunity to earn bonus incentives with total expected earnings between $55,000 - $58,000 annually. The hourly rate and bonus incentives are an average range for this position.
