Job description

About Our Firm & Culture

This dedicated, successful and growing team of litigators is looking for our next talented team member to join us at Jeck Harris this year celebrating our 35th year as a respected member of our community. This job is perfect for a lawyer with strong writing and advocacy skills that has worked hard for a couple of years without finding the right fit and the right environment to begin their law practice - seeking to join a highly ethical practice that sells value, and not just time. Our clients need and deserve the best, and we do everything we can to deliver.

Our litigation team handles challenging business litigation, intellectual property disputes, and a wide variety of cases serving the litigation needs of our clients, including real estate, and will, trust and estate disputes. We are seeking someone special, with fire in their belly - and a twinkle in their eye - to join us and to make Jeck Harris your “forever firm”.

What We Offer: Your Growth and Autonomy

We will train and educate you, and mentor and expose you to the highest level of quality advocacy in one of the most prosperous communities in the country. We intend to guide the development of your career in partnership with you, and from day one, you will provide critical strategic assistance into and support cases through all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from case preparation through trial, and the appellate process. This role requires a sharp, self-starting legal professional who works independently, manages multiple court deadlines seamlessly, and takes direct ownership of their caseload. Litigation experience is strongly preferred, and a passion for litigation is a must.

You will be given nearly complete autonomy to be as great as you can be, and we assure you that you will enjoy extensive client contact and hands-on courtroom and deposition responsibility. You will be an integral part of our team on Day 1. This position directly impacts case outcomes. It is an ideal role for a dedicated attorney who derives a high level of professional satisfaction from delivering high-quality work product, advocating fiercely for clients, achieving a "job well done" – and winning! The perfect match for us is anyone with big firm experience that seeks a balanced quality of life. While we compensate relative to Big Law, our expectations related to work hours are far different.
