Job description

Empire Electronics is looking for a dynamic individual for growth and leadership opportunities in the automotive industry. This Program Manager will manage all aspects of assigned customers including, but not limited, to:

Ø Team Leader for the Customer Support team.

Ø Management of resources to ensure on time, on budget, job launch

Ø Ensure launch timing is consistent with Customer expectations

Ø Assign resources for all Customer requests/expectations and follow up with the Customer support team to completion

Ø Provide requested reports from upper management with effective communication techniques

· Prepare Weekly Program Management Report to present to the President and High level manager at the manufacturing plant.

· Prepare Weekly New Sales Report to present to Chief Financial Officer and Sale Account Managers.

· Weekly Launch Report to present to Chief Financial Officer and Production Scheduling team to prepare for future SOPs (start of production) and purchasing of raw material.

Ø Monitor the Customer support team for continuous improvement

Ø Primary customer contact for commercial/engineering issues

Ø Sales Support

o Make sales calls with Salesmen when necessary

o Seeking new opportunities with Customers

o Ongoing management of Customer orders/monthly sales

Ø Liaison between the plant and the Customer

o Support plant objectives with the Customer

o Support Customer objectives with the plan

ENGINEERING

Ø Enter all new job work orders in the system as received by our Customers.

Ø Meet with Customers for Design Reviews.

Ø Establish priorities on Customer requests.

Ø Support Customers on Product Launches and Engineering changes.

Ø Customer Engineering Support, including Design recommendations

Ø Support customer on site for Product Launches and Engineering Changes

Ø Manage team of Engineers at Empire Electronics Honduras to comply with Customer requirements

PRODUCTION SCHEDULING

Ø Assist with Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Raw Material Authorization letters to start ordering material for future Program Launches.

Ø Review any problems to deliver parts to customer on time.

Ø Plan for start of production (SOP).

Ø Provide financial analysis to launch within budget.

Ø Provide program launch readiness report

Ø Manage team to plan for End of Production and start of Service part production.

Ø Evaluate program length and sale forecast

Ø Review New Sales report with Production Scheduling team.

Ø Coordinate Engineering change launches, and review raw material inventory and obsolete analysis.

Ø Plan for End of Production and start of Service parts shipments.

Ø Coordinate scheduled product sorts and shipments of certified material to Customer when we have quality concerns.

QUALITY

Ø Periodic visits at Customer assembly lines and coordinate any potential improvements before Launch phase.

Ø Coordinate sorting or rework activity at Customers.

Ø Coordinate in-house sorts and reworks with sorting team.

Ø Coordinate for the return of defective parts back to Honduras for root cause analysis and follow up on tracking

Ø Establish priorities on material certification to hit delivery dates.

Ø Manage to have all parts that present quality concerns to be On Hold.

Ø Manage customer’s scorecards and evaluate delivery performance, quality conformance and cost reduction projects. (VAVE)

Ø Manage customer service engineers at Empire Electronics Honduras for prompt 8D response to Customer and Customer expectations

Ø Follow up the delivery of root cause analysis to Customer on time.

QUOTING

Ø Coordinate Quote Transfer meeting to review all material and labor involved on all new products.

Ø Make changes to quotes of material based on Customer requirements and specification compliance.

Ø Work on requotes when Customer makes engineering changes to the products.

Ø Provide any VAVE suggestions on material to reduce cost on products.

Ø Work on cost breakdowns per Customer’s requirements

Ø Review prices of components and the vendors selected during the quoting process.

Ø Review processes that the part will go through during the manufacturing process to calculate labor.

TOOLING

Ø Coordinate work on the design of VI components for new products.

Ø Coordinate work on engineering changes per Customer requirements and design improvements requested by our molding department.

Ø Coordinate to evaluate tool design and cost.

Ø Evaluate and review capital equipment investment.

Ø Coordinate to do a design review and make sure we comply with Customer and USCAR requirements.

Ø Coordinate request of all laboratory tests and develop DVP&R to send to customer.

Ø Coordinate review of all VI Engineering changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 1-2 years experience in related field
  • Automotive Industry experience required
  • *Bilingual speaking Spanish a PLUS
