Job description

Summary:

Research and identify equipment needs to drive process improvements. Oversee and manage Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) process to ensure projects are completed on time and under budget. Assists in production scheduling, batch record, and process management. Drives continuous improvement. Identifies and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new equipment needed to drive improvement in the plant. Create budget for Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects and oversees implementation.
  • Collaborate with production team to determine equipment needs and identify correct equipment for purchase
  • Research new technology to improve automation throughout the facility
  • Assist in production planning and scheduling of batches including scheduling of RM in alignment & coordination with purchasing, to optimize these processes and eliminate stock outs. Manage batch records
  • Drive sustainability projects in alignment with corporate policy and sustainability goals.
  • Participate in compliance goals/KPI's for OSHA/Safety, environmental and health requirements as well as statutory regulations
  • Achieve global competitiveness and profitability through budgeting, optimization of yields, reduction of production costs, and vigilant implementation of improvements necessary to accomplish this goal
  • Promote, inculcate, and sustain a Quality Control and Safety culture across the plant
  • Manage rollout of new products into the plant in alignment with production & R & D
  • Drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
  • Participate in expansion planning and plant facility projects including recommendations for processing equipment, state of the art technology, and instrumentation requirements
  • Promote team building to improve skills levels and competencies through coaching, training, and education
  • Liaise with different departments, implement special projects, and prepare reports and analysis as requested
  • Work closely with Senior Management and Galaxy, India to assure that required goals and objectives are being achieved

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical Engineering or related field from four-year college or university; minimum of 2 years related experience.
