Looking for a job where work feels meaningful and fun? Join Homeward Bound as an ICF Direct Support Specialist and help twelve amazing people (across two 6-bed homes) live full and dignified lives in Plymouth and Maple Grove!
This unique full-time position features 12+ hour shifts three days/week (typically 2 weekdays 6am-7pm + Saturday or Sunday 9am-9pm or 9am-11pm).
That means you'll enjoy a 3-day workweek while still being eligible for full-time benefits! (Some 4-day and 5-day workweek schedules available!)
As an ICF Specialist, you'll:
  • Build lasting relationships while making a real difference.
  • Support two 6-bed residential homes working at one site for one week and the other site for the second week, switching sites every other week.
  • Support residents with daily living skills, total personal cares, and health needs.
  • Plan and enjoy outings, from shopping trips to fun community events.
  • Cook fresh meals, do fun activities at home, celebrate birthdays and holidays, and create a happy home life.
  • Encourage independence, laughter, and joy every day.
  • Take an active role in ensuring the ICF programs you work at maintain compliance with licensing regulations.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • Compassion, patience, and a sense of fun.
  • 2 Years of related experience
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts.
  • Must be 18+, have a valid MN driver's license with a good record, and pass a DHS background study.
  • CNA Preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification (training provided if you don't yet have it).
