LMI is seeking a skilled COMSEC Specialist to manage communications security material, equipment, and processes supporting a network of technical communications facilities. This individual will ensure proper accounting, handling, and safeguarding of COMSEC material across multiple locations. 

Primary duties include: 

  • Manage COMSEC account operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and destruction of COMSEC material. 
  • Maintain COMSEC accounting records in accordance with applicable directives. 
  • Support COMSEC equipment installation, keying, and maintenance across facility locations. 
  • Conduct COMSEC training and awareness for program personnel. 
  • Support COMSEC inspections and audits. 

Location: This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations. 

Travel: This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations. 


Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of COMSEC management experience, including COMSEC custodian responsibilities. 
  • Working knowledge of COMSEC accounting and handling procedures. 
  • Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Formal COMSEC Custodian training/certification. 
  • Experience supporting COMSEC operations across multiple facility locations. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams. 
  •  

TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
