Through partnerships with businesses, schools, governments, and community organizations, we design responsive health programs that address diverse needs, reduce health disparities, and expand access to essential preventive care. Homeland Health Specialists is seeking qualified RNs and LPNs to administer vaccinations, including Flu, COVID-19, and other CDC-recommended vaccinations, for our traveling clinics at companies, schools, and other organizations throughout Minnesota and surrounding states.

This position requires flexibility to work multiple shifts and locations, ~20-40 hours/week, depending on our clients' needs from late August to the end of November. We serve much of the Twin Cities, Brainerd, Cambridge, Duluth, Fargo, Grand Forks, Mankato, Owatonna/ Faribault, Rochester, St. Cloud, Western Wisconsin, Eastern North Dakota, and Iowa.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate aseptic technique and safe delivery of vaccinations to pediatric and adult clients according to Homeland Health Specialists, Inc. policies and protocols, and CDC best practices
  • Possess critical thinking and clinical assessment skills to handle emergencies (e.g. reaction to vaccinations)
  • Review client consent and insurance form for completeness and legibility before offering services
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, patience, problem-solving, and flexibility
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers while serving as Homeland Health Specialists, Inc. ambassador.
  • Perform on-site supervision of other Homeland Health Specialists staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Must possess and maintain a current, unrestricted driver’s license in good standing, maintain an acceptable driving record, and have reliable access to a properly insured vehicle. Ability and willingness to travel regularly to various clinic locations within the assigned geographic area are required.
  • Must have a current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with vaccinations
  • Experience with patient education

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Must satisfy nursing skills competencies
  • Must have highly developed organizational skills and the ability to follow through with organized tasks
  • Must be confident, dependable, timely, and self-sufficient
  • Demonstrated dependability, tact, patience, professionalism, and the ability to make appropriate decisions
  • Must have the computer skills necessary to accomplish the requirements of the position

Compensation:

  • Competitive pay ($28.00 - $40.00)
  • $6.00/hour lead pay for our lead nurses
  • $2.00/hour shift differential
  • Travel pay 17.00/hour
  • Mileage $0.725 per mile
  • Safe and Sick time
