  • Request, review, and organize lien documentation, balances, reductions, and supporting records
  • Negotiate lien reductions with providers and third parties based on experience level
  • Prepare and review settlement statements and disbursement documentation for accuracy
  • Coordinate settlement documents for signature, including settlement sheets, releases, hold harmless agreements, office letters, and W-9 forms
  • Monitor outstanding documents, checks, balances, and follow-up items
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the case management system
  • Track overdue, returned, rejected, or reissued settlement checks
  • Review files for completeness before disbursement
  • Escalate complex lien issues, disputed balances, financial discrepancies, or unusual file concerns when needed
  • Support settlement workflow, file accuracy, and department procedures
Senior Level Responsibilities May Include
  • Managing more complex settlement files with minimal oversight
  • Handling advanced lien negotiations and higher-risk reimbursement issues
  • Working closely with attorneys on difficult lien or settlement strategy issues
  • Reviewing settlement files for financial accuracy and audit readiness
  • Supporting newer team members with workflow questions and best practices
  • Identifying recurring issues and recommending process improvements

Requirements
  • Personal injury experience preferred
  • Prior settlement, lien resolution, case management, or legal support experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, medical liens, and subrogation claims is a plus

  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and moving parts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong financial accuracy and settlement math skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, providers, and insurance representatives
  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and case management systems
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
