Proficiency with CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Revit), simulation tools, and familiarity with codes like NEC is typically required. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective remote communication are valuable soft skills in this role. This role allows for flexibility and can involve working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Home based electrical designers must have strong technical skills, self-discipline, and the ability to manage projects independently.
