Job description

Job Title: Assistant Electrical Designer
Location: Dallas, Texas (On-site)

Job Summary: We are seeking an individual who will contribute to the planning, design, and documentation of electrical elements across diverse water and wastewater projects. Our team values meticulous design, analytical thinking, and collaboration to achieve high-quality project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Support design and development of electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, power and lighting systems, and related project documentation using CAD software.
  • Assist with drafting procedures, set up CAD configurations, and ensure adherence to project design and drafting standards.
  • Prepare and refine engineering drawings from sketches or engineering data, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and designers.
  • Organize and maintain project drawings, revisions, files, and information in a logical and accessible manner.

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or a related field plus 2 years of related experience; or Associate Degree plus 3 years of related experience; or 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel, with the ability to create 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with experience collaborating in multi-discipline project teams.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new design software, and knowledge of design codes, calculations, and design systems relevant to electrical engineering projects.
