Movement Disorders Neurologist Opportunity

The Norton Neuroscience Institute's Cressman Parkinson's & Movement Disorders Center is seeking a fellowship-trained movement disorders neurologist. The ideal candidate will join a team with two fellowship-trained movement disorders neurologists, a fellowship-trained functional neurosurgeon and a board-certified neuropsychologist; specialty-trained physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists; as well as an advanced practice provider and a nurse navigator. Our center has strong referral patterns from other Norton Neuroscience Institute neurologists, providers within Norton Medical Group and community providers throughout the region seeking tertiary expertise.

Cressman Neurological Rehabilitation, a service of Norton Neuroscience Institute, provides rehabilitation for patients managing neurological conditions. Patients have access to some of the most advanced technology and specialized services in one location to help with gait, balance, strength, flexibility, speech, fine motor skills, swallowing, driving, cognition, vision and more. Specialized rehabilitation care includes the ZeroG Gait & Balance System, the Biodex Gait Training System, deep brain stimulation, Parkinson Wellness Recovery certified therapists, videostroboscopy and oneon-one, personalized training and follow-up programs.

About the Position
  • Fellowship trained in movement disorders neurology preferred
  • Ability to practice exclusively movement disorders neurology
  • High-intensity focused ultrasound (HiFU) for essential tremor and tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease
  • Outpatient schedule only
  • No inpatient call
  • Additional bonus available based on productivity

Job Responsibilities: The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
