Description
CMS Controls is currently recruiting for a DDC Startup/Commissioning Technician. We are looking for career minded, team players who are looking for a growth-oriented work environment where we value your contribution and will promote your personal growth within the industry.
Job Summary
The candidate for this position will be responsible for testing and documenting of all control points, hardware and software meets the sequence of operations and systems function properly.
Essential Job Functions
  • Distech and/or Siemens programming, commissioning and graphics preferred.
  • Entry level candidates with proven experience and exposure to DDC systems will be considered based on that experience.
  • On-the-job and factory training provided to supplement current knowledge or to provide base knowledge on Distech/Siemens.
  • Perform all point to point checkout and calibration
  • Perform functional testing and verification all systems functions as specified in the sequence of operations
  • Generate, document and track all punch list items and deficiencies of design, mechanical, electrical and controls
  • Demonstrate operation of the system to the customer, design team, 3rd Party Cx, etc.
  • Perform quality control inspections of installations and programming
  • Provide training to the customer

Requirements
Minimum requirements
  • 3+ years of direct experience with DDC controls systems
  • Working knowledge of all mechanical equipment sequence of operations including but not limited to terminal boxes, fan coil units, VAV and constant volume RTU's and AHU's, and basic 4 pipe systems
  • Understanding of Control Devices (Inputs/Outputs) and their function
  • Understanding of how to calibrate Control Devices (Inputs/Outputs)
  • Understanding of low voltage wiring and electrical conduit installation practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Etc.)
  • Working and demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems components and design
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent people and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends as required
  • Valid NC driver license
  • Pass a background check to allow access to various types of facilities
