Job description

Antitrust Associate Attorney – Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco of New York

Direct Counsel is working with an elite Am Law 100 firm seeking a junior to senior associate to join its nationally recognized Antitrust and Competition team in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco or New York. This team is part of a rapidly growing practice, offering associates the chance to work on high-impact matters at the forefront of antitrust law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in government investigations, enforcement actions, and complex civil antitrust litigation.

  • Manage all stages of litigation including discovery, pretrial motions, and case strategy.

  • Interact with enforcement agencies such as the DOJ and FTC, as well as state attorneys general.

  • Conduct internal investigations and advise clients on antitrust compliance.

  • Collaborate across teams and offices in a dynamic, fast-paced practice.

Qualifications:
  • 1–8 years of experience in antitrust/competition law from a leading law firm, government agency, or clerkship.

  • Substantive experience in either civil antitrust litigation or government investigations is required.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

  • Experience working with or appearing before the FTC, DOJ, or other regulatory bodies is strongly preferred.

  • Clerkship experience and/or an academic background in economics or related fields is a plus.

  • Must be admitted, or eligible to be admitted, to practice in the jurisdiction in which you reside.

Compensation: $225,000 - $435,000
