About the Role
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating production equipment used in the manufacturing of high-quality architectural millwork and commercial casework. This role produces precision components according to engineering drawings and work orders while maintaining company quality standards, production schedules, and safe operating practices.
This is a hands-on, shop-floor role ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and precision. You'll be cross trained on multiple machines, work alongside a skilled manufacturing team, and have the opportunity to build real equity in the company through our ESOP program.
What You'll Do
Safety
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or accidents immediately
Production
• Read and understand work orders, production drawings, and shop paperwork
• Verify materials before beginning production
• Set up and operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently
• Produce parts that meet company quality standards and engineering specifications
• Inspect parts throughout the manufacturing process
• Measure and verify finished parts using appropriate measuring tools
• Meet daily production schedules while maintaining quality expectations
• Label, palletize, and stage completed parts for the next production department
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required paperwork
Machine Operation
After completing company certification, operate one or more of the following:
• Homag Vantech CNC Router
• Holzher Tectra 6120 Panel Saw
• Holzher 1329 Edge Bander
• Gannomat Dowel Machine
Equipment Maintenance
• Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Complete scheduled maintenance assigned to operators
• Monitor tooling and machine performance
• Report maintenance needs promptly
• Assist maintenance personnel during repairs when requested
Quality & Teamwork
• Produce components that meet company quality standards
• Identify and communicate quality issues before they escalate
• Work cooperatively with Engineering, Assembly, Finishing, and Shipping teams
• Participate in company training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Preferred
• 2-5 years of experience operating woodworking machinery in a commercial manufacturing environment
• Experience with CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, or dowel insertion equipment
• Experience with architectural millwork, cabinetry, or commercial casework manufacturing
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to successfully complete Edge Construction Specialties equipment certification program
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site manufacturing role at our Lakewood, CO facility. The role involves working in a production environment with woodworking equipment, wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures. Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive motions throughout the workday. Extended hours may be required during peak production cycles.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Offer is contingent on successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and reference checks.
