Job description

Job Summary
As a Seasonal Holiday Light Installer, you will be assisting in the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of holiday decorations. You will be performing tasks such as wrapping trees with lights, setting up holiday displays, hanging banners, and assembling large structures, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Driving bucket and/or box trucks to various job sites
  • Assemble and install large structures, including panel trees and decorations
  • Assist in the installation of banners, pole mount decorations, and ground displays
  • Set up holiday decorations such as wreaths, garland, and lighting displays
  • Safely direct traffic around our trucks when working on public roadways
  • Troubleshoot and resolve power issues related to lighting
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure the functionality and safety of decorations, making any necessary repairs as needed
  • Dismantle holiday decorations at the end of the season, ensuring proper storage and organization for future use
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Perform other various duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to create visually appealing displays
  • Ability to follow directions including all safety protocols as instructed
  • Comfortable working with your hands as well as the various tools
  • Ability to climb ladders and utilize lifts with training
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight near job sites as needed
  • Ability to work 10-14 hour days during the months of September - December, as needed

Education and Experience
  • Valid driver's license with three years clean driving record preferred
  • Previous experience working in holiday light installation or related field preferred
  • Bucket and box truck experience preferred
  • Knowledge of how to use various power tools required

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work from heights
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Exposure to various weather temperatures both hot and cold
