About the Role:
Humbug Holiday Lighting of Suburban Essex is looking for an energetic and dependable Holiday Lighting Crew Lead to join our seasonal team in Millburn, NJ! This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help bring the magic of the holiday season to life for homeowners and businesses across the community. If you love working outdoors, leading a team, and making people smile, this is the perfect seasonal opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a crew during holiday lighting installations, takedowns, and maintenance visits
  • Safely install, troubleshoot, and remove exterior holiday light displays on residential and commercial properties
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards, including ladder and roofline work
  • Manage daily job schedules, coordinate crew assignments, and communicate with office staff
  • Inspect lighting systems and perform on-site repairs or bulb replacements as needed
  • Maintain and organize equipment, vehicles, and inventory at job sites and in the warehouse
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the Humbug brand professionally on every job
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in holiday lighting, landscaping, construction, or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a small crew and manage time effectively in the field
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders and on rooftops in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible seasonal schedule including weekends
  • Positive attitude and strong customer-facing communication skills
