Job description

Position Summary:
Coordinate, monitor, and perform specialized analytical/technical processes related to vehicle/Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) functions, process improvement, and plant-wide Quality Initiative goals in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Drive quality improvement of quality issues through analysis, investigation, and resolution.
  • Analyze and trend quality data to determine direction for issue improvement.
  • Gather early customer quality data, prioritize, drive and track improvement on the issues during new model introduction and support quality improvement activities on current model.
  • Serve as liaison between the Quality Control (QC) Department and Production Division for new model launch projects. ๏‚จ Serve as QC coordinator for the Global Quality Management System (GQMS) used at the VPC.
  • Provide testing support for designers and other affiliate organizations.
  • Monitor and control HMMA QC interests in the VPC inspection and process flow.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and/or participate in plant-wide quality promotion activities and ensure effective communication between all key stakeholders to meet or exceed established goals/expectations.
  • Coordinate data acquisition of campaigns from responsible departments and log results, countermeasure follow-up.
  • Participate in all related meetings/activities (Engineering Change meetings) and stay up-to-date on progress.
  • Capture and analyze quality data from the VPC and develop system to feedback upstream for improvement.
  • Lead and drive improvement for First Time through (FTT) concerns, repetitive concerns, and field issues.
  • Lead and chair VPC Quality task force teams and meetings.
  • Provide support and knowledge to identify root cause, implement permanent countermeasures.
  • Provide support and knowledge for all VPC concerns to related base departments.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
Related Experience:
  • 0 - 10 years job related experience preferred
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, New Model Launch teams, and Quality Control desired
