Summary Description

This position is only open to applicants that have direct and provable Oil and Gas 3rd Party Safety Operations Experience.

The Operations Safety Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of direct reporting technicians while providing support to the Safety Manager and Regional Safety Manager. Position will lead and coordinate day-to-day operational safety procedures on the assigned jobs. This position will also assist in reporting incidents and accidents, may assist in getting medical help for injured employees, will conduct investigations of safety sensitive activities and participate in safety meetings.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the operational programs in the field.
  • Report incidents immediately to the Safety and HR departments and completes proper paperwork, (i.e. witness statements, employee reports of injury, etc.)
  • Assist Safety Supervisors in verifying field-staff training and competencies; consult the Safety Manager and Regional Safety Manager for compliance and action plan.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety meetings with the safety team to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events.
  • Must be a team player who promotes a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred in related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Minimum 1 year direct experience
  • Minimum 1 year of leading teams of 5 or more direct reports
  • Direct knowledge of different types of applicable field equipment
  • Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
  • Bilingual is preferred
  • The ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment to company operations and activities
