JOB TITLE

Parts Development Interior & Exterior System Assistant Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO

[General Summary]
ย ย  ย Responsible for all purchasing activities (S/R Review with ENG, RFQ Release, Quotation Analysis, Recommendation) related to cost, quality and service for Direct Materials, MRO(Maintenance, Repair, and Operating) products and services at Hyundai Motor Group MetaPlant America, LLC
ย ย  ย Manage commercial negotiations with supplier and mitigate commercial risk.
ย ย  ย Actively lead the commodity development, sourcing/negotiations, budget management (Saving/Material Cost) and interface with supplier or internal counterpart.
ย ย  ย Establish/strengthen supplier relationships for better alignment.
ย ย  ย Manage commodity development, quality and parts procurement from both local and import parts.
ย ย  ย Strive to drive improvement to the purchasing organization's processes
ย ย  ย Work with critical supplier, assisting them in developing a short term 'Build and Ship' plan that supports production at HMGMA assembly plant and focus on a long term supply plan for critical components.

[Major Responsibilities]
ย ย  ย Find the local potential supplier in NA and select the most competitive supplier for EV programs
ย ย  ย Negotiate with supplier for the best material and tooling cost to achieve the vehicle target cost.
ย ย  ย Develop all the commodities with sourced supplier meeting required specification and development timing
ย ย  ย Manage material logistic from supplier and prevent disruptions in the flow of production parts
ย ย  ย Constantly develop new technologies and processes
ย ย  ย Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering and Suppliers to ensure secure supply at best cost.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

ย ย  ย Bachelor's Degree required in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, Administration, or other related areas.

Training / Certification:
ย ย  ย Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation preferred.

Related Experience:
ย ย  ย Minimum 2 years experience in parts development and procurement
(Seat Assembly / Instrument Panel, Exterior(Glass/Wiper etc), HVAC System)
ย ย  ย Developing Contracts / Agreements
ย ย  ย Project Execution

Skills / Knowledge:
ย ย  ย MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint
ย ย  ย Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills desired.
ย ย  ย A desire to continually improve processes and research and implement best practices.
ย ย  ย Ability to respond to inquiries or suggestions from team members, the leadership team, and outside vendors.
ย ย  ย Ability to work with different cultures to effectively deliver results.

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
