About the Role:
HMG Health Care Inc is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing healthcare team in Lancaster, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while working alongside a supportive and experienced clinical staff. Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
  • Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in EMR/EHR systems
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory
  • Administer injections, draw blood, and perform basic clinical procedures as directed
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care instructions
  • Handle front and back office duties including insurance verification and prior authorizations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification a plus
  • Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and basic computer skills
  • Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for serving the Lancaster community
