We're looking for a Water Resources Project Manager to join the HMB team!ย

Key Responsibilities
  • Design systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively transport drinking water and/or wastewater to and from end users, including pumping and storage projects
  • Assist senior design staff in design of water and/or wastewater treatment plant projects
  • Review and analyze drainage systems for storm water or floodplains to ensure safety of the ecosystem and public; designs necessary conveyance systems to safeguard the area.
  • Assess the need for drinking water and/or wastewater treatment systems based on current and projected future population and/or development demands; conducts feasibility studies for the construction of public utility infrastructure to meet identified needs
  • Analyze, or assist with analysis of, various water and/or wastewater treatment technologies, and recommend the most effective method
  • Design and develop specifications for various pumping and force main systems
  • Collaborate with contractors and government agencies regarding construction of assigned projects
  • Ensure design and equipment specifications comply with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes
  • Conduct feasibility and related studies regarding the collection, treatment, or distribution of water or wastewater, and prepare written technical reports
  • Provide clients with technical support and subject matter expertise on water resources related issues
  • Conduct appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.
  • Align with marketing team on RFPs, presentations and scoping projects


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering
  • Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
  • Experience designing water treatment plants, in part or in whole a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in public infrastructure projects related to Water Resources field
  • Project and / or Client Management experience is required
  • Ability to guide junior staff as well as participate in the design and detailing of all aspects of small- to large-scale multi-discipline water projects of varying technical complexity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentย
