SCHEDULE: MONDAY - THURSDAY (10-HOUR SHIFTS) OR MONDAY – FRIDAY (8-HOUR SHIFTS) *POTENTIAL FOR OVERTIME
As a Survey Field Technician, you'll represent the company in the field, utilizing diverse technologies like conventional survey methods, total stations, GPS units, drones, and LiDAR. Your role involves collecting data for construction layout, topographic, boundary, right-of-way, and control survey projects, ensuring work meets company standards and results are presented clearly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment to gather field survey data through the use of a total station, data collector, GPS equipment, LiDAR scanners and drones.
  • Prepare field notes and sketches
  • Perform field surveying for roadway, bridges, and flood control projects, including survey construction stake out, locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control for right of ways and boundaries and level runs to establish benchmarks.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Eagerness to learn
  • High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project
  • Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines (machete use)
  • Ability to use all measuring devices
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required
  • Ability to travel (if needed)
