This Opportunity
WSP is seeking a Senior Coordinator - Project Accounting to support the Project Accounting Strategy & Development team. This role provides experienced administrative, coordination, and analytical support to strategic initiatives, training programs, process improvements, and system-related activities across the Project Accounting function.
The ideal candidate has prior experience supporting project accounting or finance teams and is comfortable working independently on defined support responsibilities while collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Your Impact
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for Project Accounting Strategy & Development initiatives, including training, process documentation, and internal projects
  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and organization of project accounting reference materials, workflows, job aids, and internal guidance
  • Support data collection, validation, and basic analysis related to project accounting reporting, performance tracking, and compliance activities
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain schedules, track action items, and prepare materials for working sessions and team updates
  • Assist with reviewing project financial data for completeness and accuracy, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Coordinate with Project Accountants, Billing, and Finance stakeholders to support standardized processes and consistent data practices
  • Maintain trackers, reports, and status updates to support visibility into ongoing initiatives
  • Support knowledge sharing efforts, including organizing training sessions, materials, and follow up communications
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years business experience in project accounting, accounting support, finance operations, or a related administrative/coordination role
  • Basic ability in accounting principles, practices, and methods and their application to project work-related issues. Working knowledge of project accounting concepts, terminology, and workflows
  • Possess an analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound independent judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions with financial implications to the company.
  • Capable organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Data entry skills and very strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping software.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting accounting or finance teams in a structured environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Oracle preferred (but not required).
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree
  • Experience supporting training, process improvement, or system implementation initiatives
  • Ability to apply basic analytical techniques to support reporting and data validation
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work across teams and disciplines

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $51,500.00 - $80,300.00
