Is it hard to get hired as a new grad RN?

Getting hired as a new graduate registered nurse (RN) can be competitive, as many healthcare facilities prefer candidates with some clinical experience or strong academic records. However, job prospects are generally favorable due to ongoing demand for nurses, and new grads often find opportunities through residency programs, internships, or networking within healthcare settings.

Where do most new grad RNs work?

Most new graduate registered nurses (RNs) work in hospitals, including medical-surgical units, emergency departments, and intensive care units. They also find employment in outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health settings, often requiring certification in basic life support (BLS) and other skills to start their careers.
