JOB SUMMARY:

To install, maintain, service, rebuild, troubleshoot, repair, and operate all low, medium and high voltage industrial, commercial, and non-commercial electrical equipment and utility systems, as it pertains to the continuous smooth operation of Universal Orlando Facilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain, install, service and repair all high voltage transformers, switchgear and equipment.
  • Maintain, install, service and repair all CEP electrical equipment, motors and motor control centers.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and Infrared all high voltage equipment and circuitry park wide.
  • Maintain, install, service and repair all park wide life safety electrical systems and equipment including all UPS, generators, transfer switches and egress lighting.
  • Maintain, install, service and repair all main switchgear, main breakers, sub panels and branch circuits.
  • Assist vendors and contractors on transformer oil analysis, infrared testing of breakers and all switch gear and related equipment. Provide quality inspections of UPS systems, generators and all emergency back-up equipment of work provided by vendors and contractors.
  • Keep records of all outages; provide follow-up communications to the Facilities Manager as to reasons determined for failures. Maintain high voltage loop sheets, current phone numbers of all pertinent sources and records of any alterations to the high voltage loop systems.
  • Point of contact on high voltage operations site wide. Initiates contact with Utility provider in the event of power failures, street light outages and power quality issues. Communicates all outages through Tech Base, Security, Ride and Show and Technical Service management.
  • Assist Planned Work and Creative with electrical projects, provide input on initial electrical plans and perform follow-up inspections of completed work. Provide underground electrical locations for projects as required.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
  • High school degree or GED required
  • Technical school and/or Associate's degree (AA) preferred
EXPERIENCE:
  • 5-7 Years: Required experience in industrial and commercial construction, maintenance facility or a fast paced service company dedicated to electrical repair
  • 3-5 Years: Preferred experience in theme park industry
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Valid Florida Driver's License/ required to operate company vehicles
  • Must possess a Master Electrical License or Journeyman Electrical License
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
