THE ROLE
The Director of Ticket Sales & Service will execute strategic plans and outreach spanning new sales, season ticket renewals, premium offerings, group and single game sales, and fan retention across Georgia Tech Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Baseball as well as select third-party events hosted in athletics venues as needed. This role works closely with department leadership, external relations, ticket office, and Alexander-Tharpe Fund to drive sustainable revenue growth and deliver a best-in-class experience for Yellow Jacket fans.
This role serves as the day-to-day revenue leader for ticket sales and service operations, requiring proven success developing high-performing teams, driving strategic revenue initiatives, and executing integrated fan engagement strategies across Georgia Tech Athletics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead day-to-day ticket sales, retention, and service efforts across Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Softball and Baseball.

  • Develop and execute the annual revenue plan, including new season ticket sales, renewals, premium sales, group sales, and single-game packages.

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales staff; apply formal sales methodology and behavior-based coaching.

  • Build and maintain a rolling 30-60-90-day sales calendar; prioritize activity, quotas, and outreach cadences across the team.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with department leadership, ticket office, marketing, communications, and external partners to deliver revenue growth and a unified fan experience.

  • Partner with the Director of CRM, Insights & Analytics, for lead scoring, segmentation, pipeline management, and reporting through Salesforce, Paciolan, and outreach automation tools.

  • Own the season ticket member retention and service experience; set renewal targets, design service touchpoints, and lead win-back strategy for at-risk accounts.

  • Partner with the Alexander-Tharpe Fund on integrated donor and ticket strategies that strengthen both ticket revenue and athletics philanthropy.

  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and seasonal revenue reporting to Georgia Tech Athletics and Legends Global Sales leadership; lead executive presentations and strategic reviews.

  • Maintain a visible gameday and event-day presence at home sporting events and key fan-facing activations; willingness to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and gamedays.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of experience in outbound ticket sales roles preferably within collegiate athletics, including previous oversight of sales staff.

  • Proficient in CRM (Salesforce), ticketing systems (Paciolan), and Microsoft 365 product suite (Excel/Word).

  • Goal-oriented leader with ability to recruit, train, and develop team members while holding accountable to identified sales and revenue benchmarks.

  • Data and analytics minded leader with strong understanding of industry best practices, trends, software, and third-party vendors to support revenue growth.

  • Demonstrated success influencing business strategy through insights and executive communication.

  • Working knowledge of annual fundraising and digital marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Motivated self-starter with exceptional organization, strategic thinking, and personal leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Communications, or related field is a plus.
