Who you are:

Geotab is seeking a Sales Commission Analyst who will serve as the operational authority on commission accuracy, SIP policy application, and data integrity across the sales organization. What you'll do:

Sales Commission Analyst, will be responsible for the administration, reporting, and operational execution of Geotab's Sales Incentive Program (SIP). This role ensures accurate commission calculations, maintains data integrity, supports compensation inquiries, and provides reporting and analytical support to the sales organization. 

How you'll make an impact:
  • Run commission calculations for SIP, validate accuracy against plan rules, and support quarterly payout cycles, including review and issue resolution.

  • Audit compensation and CRM data, reconcile Salesforce and reporting outputs, and resolve discrepancies impacting payouts or attainment.

  • Partner with operations to maintain Salesforce data accuracy for compensation eligibility and ownership, and support ongoing updates to ensure reporting integrity.

  • Act as the primary contact for commission questions, investigate issues, and resolve sales rep inquiries related to payouts and attainment.

  • Support day-to-day SIP operations, apply compensation rules, and assist with plan updates, new hire setup, exceptions, and policy enforcement. 

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in commission processes and recommend operational improvements to enhance accuracy, scalability, and cycle efficiency. 

  • Analyze commission and attainment trends, surface anomalies, and deliver findings with recommendations to sales operations and finance leadership.

What you'll bring to this role:
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting sales compensation programs, commission calculations, incentive administration, or sales performance reporting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required. 

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted.

  • Knowledge of sales compensation programs, commission structures, quotas, attainment methodologies, and incentive plan administration.

  • Understanding of sales operations processes, CRM data management, and compensation-related reporting.

  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, recurring revenue concepts, and sales performance metrics.

  • Knowledge of data governance, audit controls, and compensation policy administration.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and validation.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and related reporting tools. 

  • Experience with incentive compensation management (ICM) platforms such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or Varicent.

  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends, anomalies, and discrepancies.

  • Problem-solving skills to investigate compensation issues and determine root causes.

  • Communication skills to effectively explain compensation calculations, policies, and reporting results to stakeholders. 

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver accurately under hard commission cycle deadlines.
