Job Title: After-School Camp Counselor (Sports amp; Enrichment)

Location: Prince George's County, MD (On-site at local elementary schools)

We are currently hiring for programs located at or near:

  • Rosa Parks Elementary School (Hyattsville)
  • Langley Park Elementary School (Hyattsville)
  • Thomas S. Stone Elementary School (Mt. Rainier/Hyattsville)
  • Additional school sites throughout PG County

About the Role

Ben Bellucci Academy (BBA) is seeking energetic, reliable, and community-minded After-School Camp Counselors to join our team in Prince George's County. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with kids and assisting with a variety of activities—including Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer, Dance, and basic Gymnastics/Tumbling.

You don't need to be an expert in every sport; we are looking for role models who can bring high energy, maintain safety, and help elementary students (Grades K-5) build confidence through movement and play.

What You'll Do

  • Activity Assistance: Support lead coaches in running drills for basketball, soccer, and flag football.
  • Spirit amp; Movement: Assist with cheer/dance routines and basic tumbling for beginners.
  • Group Leadership: Lead small groups of students through structured games, enrichment activities (like Chess), and team-building exercises.
  • Site Support: Assist with student check-in/out, attendance, and moving equipment (balls, cones, mats).
  • Positive Mentorship: Be a "big brother/sister" figure to students, encouraging sportsmanship and positive behavior.

Schedule amp; Pay

  • Hours: After-school hours, typically 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM or 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility: 1–3 days per week (perfect for students at UMD, Bowie State, or PGCC).
  • Pay Rate: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour , based on experience.
