Job description

Position: Camp Counselor
Founded in 1888, The Baldwin School is an all-girls college preparatory, independent day school, PreK - Grade 12, dedicated to a tradition of excellence in education. Looking for a fun and rewarding job this summer? Summer At Baldwin Summer Camp is hiring camp counselors to join our fun filled day camp!
Counselors will start June 11, 2026 for 3 days of paid mandatory training. Our camp runs Monday through Friday from June 15 to July 31st.
Candidates should be caring, enthusiastic, and have genuine care for children. The most important of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Planning summer camp games
  • Support with educating children through enrichment and setting up equipment.
  • Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children
  • Support the management of a group of campers and provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience.
  • Counselors supervise, lead, guide, teach, and assist with summer camp activities
  • Help campers at lunch and snack time
  • Enforce camp safety rules and regulations, instruct campers in emergency procedures and administer first aid to minor injuries such as cuts and bruises of campers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age by June 1st, 2026
  • Ability and enthusiasm towards working with young children
  • Excellent role model for children with high moral standards.
  • Outstanding character and integrity
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • June 16th - August 1st (position begins June 11th for a mandatory training).
License/Certification:
  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
