HGC Construction is looking for a Superintendent who takes pride in leadership, precision, and delivering high-quality projects. As part of our team, you’ll be the on-site leader responsible for turning plans into action and guiding projects from kickoff through completion. You’ll oversee daily construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop project phasing and logistics plans for approval by the Project Lead.
  • Support buyout, subcontracting, and change order processes.
  • Review and understand subcontractor and Owner contracts.
  • Attend and actively participate in project kickoff meetings.
  • Fully understand project plans, specifications, and related documentation.
  • Inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in company, subcontractor, and OAC meetings.
  • Understand and manage all scopes of work on the project.
  • Conduct and oversee pre-installation meetings with subcontractors.
  • Direct daily construction activities, resolving subcontractor questions and conflicts.
  • Review approved submittals and shop drawings and ensure proper installation.
  • Communicate discrepancies between plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to the Project Lead.
  • Implement Lean construction processes, including daily huddles, weekly work plans, and lookahead schedules.
  • Obtain Project Lead sign-off on the initial project schedule prior to construction.
  • Prepare and manage HGC punch list processes and assist with Owner punch lists as required.
  • Maintain accurate redline drawings for all undocumented field changes.

This position is for a confident, detail-driven leader who takes ownership of the job site, builds strong relationships, and delivers projects with pride and precision.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred or 10 years' experience in construction management 
  • Commercial Construction experience is strongly preferred
  • Fit to Work / OSHA 30 certification 
  • 8 hours of continuing education
