Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage construction activities supporting HFC and FTTH Edge Out projects throughout New Jersey
  • Spend approximately 70–75% of the work week in the field overseeing contractor activity and production
  • Verify vendors are actively working in assigned locations and performing work efficiently
  • Conduct field inspections and quality control reviews of completed construction work
  • Validate contractor performance against project schedules and construction milestones
  • Review and approve as-builts, redlines, and construction documentation
  • Support invoice validation by confirming completed field work and installed quantities
  • Identify project risks, construction challenges, and schedule impacts
  • Maintain project records and status updates within SiteTracker
  • Ensure all work is being completed according to engineering designs, safety requirements, and construction standards

Project Coordination Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering, permitting, construction, and operations teams
  • Manage communication between internal stakeholders and construction vendors
  • Provide leadership with regular project updates, progress reports, and risk assessments
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and safety requirements are consistently met
  • Resolve field issues and maintain project schedules across multiple active workstreams
  • Support successful project delivery from construction kickoff through completion

Work Environment

  • Approximately 75% field-based throughout the New Jersey market
  • Approximately 25% office-based work in Piscataway, NJ
  • Frequent travel between active construction sites
  • Direct interaction with contractors, vendors, engineers, and operations teams

Why This Opportunity

  • Support major broadband expansion and network upgrade initiatives
  • Work on highly visible Mid-Split and Edge Out projects that directly impact network performance
  • Long-term contract opportunity with ongoing project funding
  • Opportunity to work closely with leadership, engineering, and construction teams on large-scale telecommunications projects
  • Hands-on role offering significant exposure to OSP construction, vendor management, and broadband infrastructure development
