  • Daily facility set-up, organize, and control room and facility arrangements for activities and events.


Job description

The role of the Facilities Manager is to perform and maintain all facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation and mechanical functions of the facilities including both the interiors and exteriors of all buildings on the campus.   

Requirements

    1. Team Builder – Strengthen the Facilities Team through sharing your physical and spiritual skills. Work closely with peers and volunteers to accomplish all tasks assigned. 
    1. Volunteer Leadership – Help identify and recruit volunteers to join the Facilities team.  Help train and manage volunteers and create an ownership culture within the Team. 
    1. Ability to work in Fast Paced Environment – Able to work at a fast pace within a variety of settings and circumstances, with composure and flexibility 
    1. Committed to Excellence – Consistently seek excellence in results and address items that are not right in a timely manner. 
    1. Big picture thinker – Look at the big picture of tasks that need to be performed and have the flexibility to adjust schedules as necessary to meet all requirements. 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Modeling Biblical Priorities: Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Community of Hope. The CD should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ. The CD models a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable). The CD strives to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships and actions.

  • Agreeing with and by God’s grace living into the Ministry Leader Ethos
  • Statement (communityofhope.church/partnership-hub)
  • Committing to a daily quiet-time with God.
  • Participating in a Community of Hope small group on a regular basis.
  • Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.
  • Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Commitment to all discipleship expectations of staff members at Community of Hope.

Assist in monitoring ongoing Preventative and Deferred Maintenance programs for all major mechanical and electrical systems of the assigned campus as well as for grounds, buildings, and other areas as required. This includes wall repair, painting, HVAC maintenance, cleaning, and daily custodial support such as replacing soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.

  • Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Participating in the Sunday Facilities Team Member Rotation.
  • Perform other related assignments given by the Director of Facilities.

2. Inventory: Experience with updates, counting & replenishing of supplies and tools 

3. Maintenance: Knowledge of maintenance programs for all equipment 

4. Permitting & Testing: Understanding of permitting & testing for Fire Extinguishers,  kitchen Vent Hood and chair lift, etc.

5. Equipment Knowledge: Running a tractor with forklift, bucket, 0-turn/Stand-up Mowers and hedge trimmer 

6. Support Team Culture: Always support facility’s team and help one another to accomplish the full tasks as outlined in the Mission Statement. 

7. Perform routine repair work and general maintenance for the following: 

  • Irrigation 
  • Painting 
  • HVAC Maintenance 
  • Janitorial Duties 
  • Floor Care 
  • Wood working 
  • Electrical 
  • Plumbing 

8. Facility Set-up: Daily plan, organize, direct and control day-to-day room and facility set-up 

9. Maintenance Ministry: Interact with all levels of the church and the public.  Be sensitive and aware of ministry opportunities.  While keeping a keen emphasis on assigned jobs, always think of others and display hospitality to all those on campus being helpful and courteous.  Be aware that the primary focus of the church is to reach the lost for Christ and the duties you are assigned could change a life for Christ. 

10. Budget: Help manage the maintenance budget by seeking to be economical while completing tasks 

EDUCATIONAL/ESPERIENCE 

Educational and additional certifications in related duties is preferred.

Being teachable and willing to learn is a requirement
