Wage - $17.77 per hour

Schedule – Varies, Full Time, 8hr shifts

MTC is proud to operate the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo, HI where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people’s lives and we want YOU to join our team!

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for providing services by replenishing essential items in the food services area and dining areas. Will assist with the stocking or food and beverage items and set up cafeteria lines and may be responsible for serving meals. Assist in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients and make available for the meal preparation. Clean food service area, tables and kitchen equipment and appliances as required. 

Essential functions: 

  1. Assist in the preparation of foods; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  2. Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing and appealing manner.
  3. Assist in washing dishes/utensils, and store in orderly fashion.  
  4. Assist with service area daily which includes keeping refrigerators, floors, and food carts clean.  
  5. Promote and support positive customer service. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience 
  • Valid food handler's permit.  
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
