Job description

The California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority (CALCTRA) is seeking to hire two student assistants for the Management Information Systems (MIS) - Support Operations, Help Desk position. Under close supervision of the Help Desk Manager (Information Technology Supervisor II), incumbent learns to perform routine support tasks and follow well-defined procedures in Client Technologies, Business Technology Management, and Software Engineering domains. Incumbent will learn to perform phone-based support, install and/or repair hardware or peripheral equipment; manage user accounts and technology inventory; resolves client incidents or requests; deploys desktop products; configures software programs; performs data entry, import and export activities; troubleshoots routine issues; and other related activities.
