Clearance:Active Top Secret Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred)
Certification:DoD 8140/8570 Compliant (Security+ CE or qualifying certification required)

Position Summary

A&M Technologies is seeking threeSystems Administrator IIprofessionals to support enterprise Operations & Maintenance activities for a federal customer. The selected candidates will provide day-to-day administration of Windows and Linux systems while supporting enterprise virtualization, storage, cybersecurity, and help desk operations.

This position will work closely with senior engineers to ensure mission systems remain secure, available, and fully operational.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Administer Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Perform server installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
  • Support VMware virtual infrastructure.
  • Support enterprise storage platforms and backup operations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Maintain Active Directory users, groups, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Support disaster recovery and continuity of operations initiatives.
  • Document configurations, SOPs, work instructions, and operational procedures.
  • Support Help Desk ticket resolution.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Assist with enterprise monitoring using SolarWinds.
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Support after-hours Priority 1 incident response as part of an on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of Systems Administration experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140/8570 certification.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Windows Server
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with VMware virtualization.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Experience with server patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience documenting technical procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support on-call rotations.
Desired Qualifications
  • RHCSA certification.
  • VMware VCP certification.
