Job Description

Are you an experienced HEDIS Specialist looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company as a HEDIS Specialist? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions - this is the HEDIS Specialist position for you!


Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Under the direction of the HEDIS Program Manager, supports the annual HEDIS project management by coordinating the identification, collection and abstraction of medical records and other data in collaboration with other HEDIS staff.
  • Assists the Manager in the coordination and preparation of the HEDIS medical record review which includes ongoing review of records submitted by providers and the annual HEDIS medical record review.
  • Identifies member service gaps based on data loaded in the MHI HEDIS application.
  • Collects medical records and reports from provider offices based on member needed services reports and gaps and loads data into the HEDIS application.
Qualifications
Valid and unrestricted RN license in MI, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or  Certified Medical Record Technicians
  • MUST HAVE medical record abstraction experience (5+ years)
  • 5+ years managed care experience
  • Basic knowledge of HEDIS and NCQA. 
  • Basic Microsoft Office Products experience, Adobe or Nitro PDF, a plus is HEDIS software experience.
  • Must have valid driver's license, may need to drive to local medical offices to collect records.
Hours for this Position:
  • Monday through Friday and mandatory Saturdays for April and OT is available and may be required if workload increases.
  • Day shifts - any 8 hours between 6 am - 7 pm. 
  • Pay Rate-$35-$40
