Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the worldโ€™s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.


Position Overview


Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Pay: $83,000 - $118,000 per year


The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the oversite, assembly, and testing of Hoist & Winch products. This position will provide engineering support for the manufacturing factory by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications into build plans, creating schedules and overseeing nonrecurring and recurring tasks to support program builds.


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
  • Create shop orders, work instructions and assembly aids
  • Design and implement tooling and test equipment, physical layouts and workflows
  • Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for test issues
  • Engage with factory area leads to address systemic issues and provide root cause/corrective action/preventive action to reduce scrap and rework
  • Ensure quality, cost, schedule, and inventory goals are achieved in a manner consistent with the overall business plan


Who You Are

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with interpretation of technical documentation (i.e. Engineering drawings and specifications)
  • Experience with the creation of work instructions in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with a shop floor management system (i.e. SAP, PRISM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)
