As well as helping customers to manage risks, AIG faces a wide array of our own risks every day. The Enterprise Risk Management team partners across the AIG organization to inform strategic decision-making and to facilitate rational risk-taking that drives profitable growth. Our team ensures we have the right tools, processes and systems in place to identify, measure and manage our risks. As an operational risk colleague, you can enhance your acumen by helping to shape and support our approach to risk.


How you will create an impact

The Enterprise Risk Management function plays a critical role in safeguarding the company's financial strength and strategic objectives. ERM's purpose is to lead and drive enterprise risk accountabilities across AIG by identifying and assessing risk; risk oversight and governance; business integration and advisory; data drive insights; and fostering a risk-aware culture.


The Risk Analyst supports the execution of ERM activities related to Business and Strategic Risk across global P&C insurance businesses. The role focuses on analytical support, data preparation, and risk reporting to enable effective identification and monitoring of risks that may impact business plans or strategic objectives, under the guidance of senior analysts and risk officers.


  • Supporting identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of Business and Strategic Risks across global business lines
  • Preparing quantitative and qualitative inputs to support business risk self-assessment (BRSA) execution and related risk processes
  • Assisting in the development of risk dashboards, reports, and management presentations
  • Monitoring trends, emerging risks, key risk indicators (KRIs), and relevant external market or regulatory developments
  • Supporting scenario analysis and other exploratory risk assessments under guidance
  • Coordinating the collection and validation of riskrelated data from regional and business partners
  • Tracking risk mitigation actions and escalating data issues, inconsistencies, or emerging concerns to senior analysts or risk officers
  • Participating in BRSA workshops, training sessions, and ERM knowledgesharing initiatives

What We Are Looking For

  • 0-2 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry or a related financial services environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with interest in risk, insurance, or financial analysis
  • Ability to work with quantitative and qualitative information to support risk assessments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, functions, and geographic locations
  • Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, business, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field required
